Wednesday Quote: Beware of Bugs

I’ve decided to start including mid-week quotes to find excuses to write just a little more during the week. Sometimes I’ll just write the quote, and other times I’ll add little observations. I had to start with a classic:

“Beware of bugs in the above code; I have only proved it correct, not tried it.”
~ Donald Knuth: “Notes on the van Emde Boas construction of priority deques: An instructive use of recursion“

The more I study cryptanalysis, the more this quote seems relevant. Your security is only as good as your assumptions.
